"There are TWO major determinants of community safety. One is how many neighbours we know by name. The other is how often we are present and associated in public - outside our houses. Police activity is a minor protection compared to these two community actions.

Streets-in-Motion
This is a PNRA project to mobilise street communities and bring about a return to true, old-fashioned neighbourliness.
In order to give effect to the SIM Project, we use a network of Street Captains who can network on the ground with neighbours, ensure that maintenance issues are reported to the PNRA, report back to us when these have been attended to, and to generally encourage neighbourly consideration, co-operation and kindness.
